Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd (TTML), on Thursday announced the launch of a new access device - Tata Photon Wi—Fi Pocket Router - which enables multiple users and devices to share wireless Internet access and stay connected on the go.
The product allows broadband Internet access speeds upto 3.1 mbps (downlink) and 1.8 mbps (uplink), a press release issued here stated.
“The new product allows not just Internet and email access, but also caters to a host of other applications through any Wi Fi ready device, such as large file downloads, photographs, spreadsheets and much more,” Tata Teleservices’ Chief Marketing Officer , Mr Lloyd Mathias, said.
The product would be available in four cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. The device is priced at Rs 6,500 in the open market, but is being made available at an introductory price of Rs 4,999
